"La Virgen del Mar"
is the patron saint of Almeria.
It is a sculpture from the twelfth century, with
a brown face, and she has a child on her right arm.
The image is housed in the Shrine Church
of Our Lady of the Sea
The church was built in the sixteenth century and was
restored after the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)
